FAQ's
Q: How does the course work?
A: There are two options: online and audit.
The only difference is that the audit students do not participate
in the live discussions, though they can read the transcripts
of the discussions afterward.
Online students will meet with the instructor and
classmates in a live, moderated discussion format. Handouts and
study materials will be delivered via the internet or by regular
mail if you select that registration option.
Q: Do I need expensive software or special computer equipment?
A: No, all you will need is a basic connection to the
internet and Adobe Acrobate Reader (free download). Upon registration
we will give you directions for downloading. It's easy. If you
should have any problems, we'll help you get set up. (Web TV does
not work with our online courses.)
Q: How long will each online discussion last?
A: Each week night class will last approximately one hour.
The study materials can be accessed anytime during the course.
Q: What time will the online discussions be held?
A: Weeknight classes will begin at 6pm PST, 8pm CST and
9pm ET.
Q: What if I miss an online discussion?
A: No need to worry. Written transcripts of missed discussions
will be available.
Q: What if I would like to take the course but I can't
be online for the discussions, or what if my schedule conflicts
with the course?
A: You can take the course via the "audit" option
where you receive the study materials and handouts just like the
online students, and you also have access to the online discussion
transcripts. The tuition for the audit option is the same.
